Thank you for a successful 2023
As we embark on a new year, we want to take a moment to say thank you for your continued commitment to the Campaign to Save the Boundary Waters.
In the past month, we have been overwhelmed by the outpouring of support from our community of Wilderness Defenders like you. Your dedication has played a pivotal role in our recent success, and we are thrilled to share we surpassed both of our matching gift challenges in December.
The first was a lofty $175,000 matching gift challenge from Patagonia’s Holdfast Collective which is a nonprofit created by outdoor brand Patagonia dedicated to fighting the environmental crisis and defending nature. Then we received a surprise $10,000 triple match generously provided by National Campaign Chair Becky Rom and her husband Reid.
Whether it was a gift of time, financial support, or helping spread awareness last year, every contribution has been instrumental in our effort to safeguard the Boundary Waters. Thank you for helping us start 2024 strong. This year will be key for the fight to permanently protect the Boundary Waters. Check out Ingrid Lyons’ recent blog to learn more. We are excited to see many of you at our upcoming events this winter in Minnesota.
