Successful Paddling Day of Action

Thanks to those who came out to the Save the Boundary Waters Paddle Day of Action on Saturday, May 29, 2021! We had a fabulous day on the water in Ely, Minneapolis, Chicago, and in Paynesville in Central Minnesota as we raised collective awareness about protecting the Boundary Waters from the threat of toxic sulfide-ore copper mining.

We are so thankful for our supporters like you! Your dedication and continued support makes our work possible. The wind is at our back as we work towards permanent protection, but we need you on our team more than ever right now. Thank you for your commitment to protecting the Boundary Waters!

Becky Rom, Board Chair of the Campaign to Save the Boundary Waters, kicked off the morning paddle with a campaign update before we paddled by the proposed mine site on Birch Lake. Thanks to all who came out!

A great crowd of people and close to 40 boats gathered at Bde Maka Ska in South Minneapolis, along with our new inflatable giant loon. Thank you to Representative Kelly Morrison for coming out to our Paddling Day of Action, and speaking up for this precious Wilderness.
