June shop to support spotlight: New partners and summer selections
Our Shop to Support program allows businesses to pledge a portion of their proceeds from an individual item or entire inventory toward protecting the Boundary Waters. It’s the perfect way to support our efforts and small businesses at the same time.
This month, we’re highlighting a couple of new partners and some northern Minnesota businesses who are geared up for summer.
Northside Bags SHOP
Nate Elsey Williams strives to make positive change in every action his business takes. Northside Bags is one of the only Black-owned backpack businesses in the outdoor industry, and they’ve partnered with us to make a Boundary Waters Fanny Pack! They plan to donate 15% of their Indiegogo campaign’s funds to Save Boundary Waters. Help diversify the outdoors and protect public lands by supporting their campaign. But hurry, their campaign ends on June 24 so be sure to get yours soon!
Storm Creek SHOP
Storm Creek aims to promote sustainability through all of its products, so a collaboration with Save the Boundary Waters just made sense! Their new Save the Boundary Waters collection, which features a Wilderness-ready synthetic long sleeve, is now on sale. The best part? It's made from recycled plastic bottles, and each purchase puts $20 toward the fight for permanent Boundary Waters protections.
North Woods Apparel SHOP
North Woods Apparel was founded with the Wilderness in mind. Elliot Sjaastad created the business to raise awareness about protecting the Boundary Waters and sell sustainable clothing. Each product sale donates $1 toward our work, so don’t be afraid to stock up on these eco-friendly shirts!
North 61 SHOP
Specializing in leather and vintage goods, North 61 is a must-stop shop for your North Shore drive. Located in Schroeder, Minnesota, this business features everything from branded gear to leather bags and wooden journals. They also proudly promote their support of Save the Boundary Waters and other non-profit organizations — regardless of profit. Shop their online collections today or visit their vintage store in person!
Superior Shop SHOP
Located in Huchinson, Minnesota, Superior Shop sells a number of great Boundary Waters and Lake Superior-themed apparel and accessories. Their Boundary Waters long-sleeve shirt comes in three colors, and 50% of each sale’s profits go toward the Campaign to Save the Boundary Waters!
