Why not celebrate America's most visited Wilderness on America's birthday?
The 4th of July is always a time for celebration, reflection, and community spirit, and this year's parade in Ely, Minnesota, was no exception. Save the Boundary Waters proudly participated in the festivities, highlighting our shared commitment to preserving one of the nation's cherished wilderness areas.
As our group of over 30 dedicated volunteers gathered at our headquarters, posters were crafted, and we rejoiced to have a day without any rain! Walking through the streets of Ely, we were inspired by how many people share our passion for protecting this irreplaceable Wilderness. Families, local businesses, and visitors all joined in the celebration.
Our volunteers, who tirelessly advocate for the Boundary Waters, are the backbone of our campaign. Their enthusiasm and dedication were on full display as they marched, handed out candy, and engaged with parade-goers. We are deeply grateful for their unwavering support to permanently protect the Boundary Waters!
Thank you to everyone who walked with us, cheered us on, and continues to support our mission. Your involvement makes a difference, and together, we can ensure that the Boundary Waters remains wild and pristine for future generations.
